Who we are and scope

BP Note (net.birdlab.bpnote) is operated by birdlab. Contact support@birdlab.net. Updated October 20, 2026; first effective October 4, 2026. This policy covers the app. The public policy website is hosted by Cloudflare; ordinary web requests necessarily reach its hosting infrastructure.

Records stored only on your phone

The app stores measurement date/time, systolic/diastolic pressure, optional pulse/arm/note, glucose value/timing/note, reminders, weekly summary preferences, font size, glucose unit, app language, onboarding status, rewarded-feature unlock dates and ad-load failure counts. Calculations and summaries run locally. birdlab has no record server and does not receive these records.

Exports and temporary files

PDF/image reports and CSV are generated locally. Android’s share sheet sends them only to the app or recipient you select; the recipient’s policy then applies. Temporary sharing files are removed when you reopen the app after they are over one hour old, or immediately when you erase all records. Copies already shared must be deleted with their recipients.

Advertising data and recipients

Google LLC (AdMob and UMP) may directly process advertising ID, device/app information, IP address and approximate location derived from it, ad interactions, ad error information and consent status. Purposes include ad delivery/measurement, fraud prevention, consent management and reward verification. Data may be transmitted over the network when ads load and processed in the United States and other Google data-centre locations. Google’s retention and privacy policies apply. We do not send blood pressure, glucose or notes to the ad SDK.

Consent and choices

Where required, Google UMP presents consent choices and stores your preference on the device. Revisit Privacy and advertising settings in the app where available. Android settings let you reset or delete your advertising ID. Advertising requests depend on consent eligibility. The app contains banners and optional rewarded ads, not interstitial or app-open ads.

Information we do not request

No account, login, cloud sync, separate analytics or crash collection service. We do not request your name, phone, email, address, date of birth, precise location, contacts, photos or payment details to use the app. If you email support, your chosen email provider transmits the message and we use what you provide to reply; do not include health records unnecessarily.

Retention and deletion

Local records/settings remain until deleted or the app is uninstalled. View, edit or delete individual entries in the app, erase all records in Settings > Data, or export CSV. Android automatic backup and device transfer are disabled. We cannot recover records after uninstalling or changing devices. Google retains advertising data under its policies.

Security and audience

Records use Android app-private storage. Sharing uses temporary FileProvider access. Use a device screen lock; no security measure is absolute. The app is intended for adults 18+. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

Your rights and changes

Exercise access, correction, export and deletion directly on your device; birdlab cannot retrieve records it does not hold. For other privacy requests contact support@birdlab.net. Applicable local privacy rights remain available. Policy changes are posted here at least 7 days in advance, or 30 days for material expansion of collection; additional consent is requested where legally required.
